The clergy here at DC Wedding Officiants are members of the North American Old Catholic Church. We are ‘non-papal’ catholics, which means we are catholic priests, but we are not part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church.
Because we are catholic in tradition, but free from the constraints that the Roman Catholic Church places on it’s ministers, we offer a more contemporary, authentic experience in our ministries, and in the wedding ceremonies we perform.
Just because we are catholic, it doesn’t mean that your ceremony has to be catholic! We are comfortable providing you with a fully customized wedding ceremony that speaks to the love, affection, and commitment that share and are expressing with your mate.
We can and often do perform weddings for those who are divorced, and already have children, either with each other or from previous relationships.
